Statement of Trusteeship

The non-profit CNMT is incorporated under the Societies Act of the Province of Nova Scotia. The Trust's objectives are to preserve, maintain and operate HMCS SACKVILLE as a WW ll corvette in honour of all those who have served in our Naval Service, including those who made the supreme sacrifice, and to recognize the monumental contribution of Canadians to the Allied war effort and the RCN's significant role in ensuring victory at sea during the Battle of Atlantic.

Any person who supports the Trust's objectives and contributes an annual amount ($75 in 2012) shall be eligible for membership and entitled to a number of benefits, including:

  • Attend and vote at any meeting of the Trust
  • Eligible for election to the Board of Directors
  • Welcomed as volunteer for a number of committees and ship work groups
  • Enjoy amenities of the Mess and other social and special functions throughout year
  • Provided membership card, lapel pin, Action Stations newsletter and other materials
